About the event
The first step in healing the abusive culture that our maternity industry allows and perpetuates is to deconstruct what actually happens in the prenatal care clinic room as well as the labor and delivery suites.
Racism shows up in many forms - abuse and neglect of birthing families is only the tip of the iceberg.
Karen Sykes, a full-spectrum Trainer with MaternityWise will facilitate an open discussion during this event, moving toward solutions.
Let's talk about our own experiences and then label the racist behaviors.
