(Register BELOW according to how you'd like to participate)

December 8 and 9th, from 7-9pm each day.

This placenta encapsulation training is quite different from other placenta courses. Grace prides herself in teaching and sharing culturally appropriate material (Cultural Competency) and not misappropriate culture, for we all live in and will be supporting a culturally diverse community.

Together we will learn a multicultural and multi-perspective approach to placenta encapsulation. Grace speaks from an Afro-Latinx centric perspective. Black people and BIPOC people/culture experiences are quite different than that of our Caucasian neighbors but together we can bridge the gap to greater accessibility.

This class is broken into several modules:

1. You'll receive a pre-recorded video where you will view an introduction to the course as well as learn about the history of placenta encapsulation and cultural competency around this practice, safety, etc.  Along with this, you will receive the certification packet with instructions on how to get started on your credentialing journey.  The required reading book and essay questions are in your certification packet.

2. You'll also receive the Moon Arts Placenta Alchemy book and manual written by The Bronx Doula herself, your trainer, Grace Roman!  This is an incredible, valuable resource that you will appreciate for years to come!

3. During the live workshop, you will have the opportunity to view and handle a real placenta. You will learn in-depth anatomy and discover how to "read" the amazing messages that a placenta has available to teach us about the mother and baby's health.  That evening, you'll participate in the initial phases of processing and set the placenta to dehydrate.

4. During Day 2 of the live workshop, you will each have a chance to practice the processing and packaging of the capsules as well as learn more about ways that a placenta can be used to support the health of the

5. You will also be responsible for completing a separate Blood Borne Pathogens Certification as well as a Food Handlers Certification, with proofs to be turned in at the time of credentialing application.

6. The final steps to certification include a final exam online and processing a placenta with a client evaluation.

(Those on the LIVE, VIRTUAL option, will participate with questions and comments in addition to observing.)

You have 12 months from your enrollment date to complete assignments, get your Blood Borne Pathogens and Food Handlers  certificates, fill out a student feedback form, have your client fill out feedback form, and complete all written assignments.
