HIPAA for Birth Workers - Compliance Certificate

Welcome to HIPAA Compliance for Birth Workers!

In this course, you will gain a thorough understanding of HIPAA - the "Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act". Included are modules explaining the origin and importance of HIPAA for birth workers, which providers are covered under the act, as well as the steps necessary to protect patient information and request disclosure agreements.

In addition, we will examine the measures needed to maintain HIPAA compliance.  

At the end of class, you will be directed to an online link where you will navigate a short review and test to obtain a Certificate of Compliance that you can print immediately.  You can then use this certificate to show insurance providers, patients, and/or employers that you have satisfactorily completed the requirements by law AS IT RELATES TO YOU, as a birth worker.
