What a fun way to get your workshop requirement completed for doula certification!

Fly into Honolulu and attend our next doula training on the North Shore of Oahu in Hawaii! You can have a little vacation, train to become a Labor Doula, EpiDoula and Postpartum Doula, as well as a Lactation Support and Educator and make friendships that last a lifetime!  

This is a very special workshop series, with the unique EpiDoula program INCLUDED. You receive an Advanced Birth Support Skills certificate showing you've officially completed your EpiDoula training upon completion of your Labor Doula certification. 

You’ll learn about how the breath and the voice impact the progress of labor and our group will be visited by the talented native Hawaiian Noelani Love and her ukulele. She will bring her beautiful jewelry for a lunch time trunk show and teach us how to breathe with our clients (and for self care) while leading us in simple songs in both Sanskrit and the Hawaiian language celebrating femininity.

You’ll learn several hula ka’o techniques to support your clients’ maternal fetal positioning which directs baby to descend into the pelvis in the optimal position for an easier, safer and faster hanau (birth). Traditional movements promote rotation and are great to keep any body (pregnant or not!) healthy and strong.

Each day will open and close with mahalo ceremony (gratitude exercises in a sacred group setting) in our beautiful retreat house and at the waters edge on Sunset Beach. Bring footwear that protects your feet as we walk on the sand and pohaku (sharp, ancient lava rocks) that surround this protected area of the coastline. 

The famous Ted’s Bakery is very close and easy to walk to, and worth a visit while you’re on the North Shore.  Their pies are amazing and their pastries will make your morning smile.  We will have many of their treats as part of our yummy continental breakfasts.

Detoxifying teas and healing oils will be shared.  Your health and wholeness is part of our pursuit as you gain knowledge that will transform your lifestyle.  Gentle, guided movements of stretching and warming, pelvic focused range of motion are also part of this transformative experience!

Delicious and healthy lunches will be available to nourish your body, many items made with fresh local ingredients.  Gluten free and vegan options will be provided. Please let your host know if you have any food sensitivities. We do our best to accommodate.

All this in a location that is something like heaven on earth.

This doula training in Hawaii will be a relaxing, entertaining, wonderfully educational and challenging opportunity for you. You will learn how to become a birth doula, how to provide postpartum and lactation support, how to grow a healthy, prosperous birth business and maybe even do a little sun-bathing and wading in the protected beach area where women have given birth for millenia. This is a very, very special location with deep spiritual roots and special feminine significance!

Imagine kayaking on the ocean, hiking to a secluded waterfall in Waimea, paddle boarding or surfing the famous bonsai pipeline, climbing volcanic mountains, or just sunning yourself from our beautiful stretch of quiet beach. There will be plenty of time in the evenings for campfires and sunset strolls. What a great story, to go back home and say you received your doula training in Hawaii, on the North Shore of Oahu.

This Combo Doula Training in Hawaii fills quickly, and we like to keep it to a small group because of the intense mentoring that you are provided throughout your journey, and long after the workshop ends.

This enrollment is nonrefundable, but if you're worried you may miss a portion of the event, don't be!  It will be recorded and sent to you within7 days after the conclusion of the workshop, so you can watch it on your own time, later.

The pricing is all-inclusive. This means it includes your Membership fees, Certification Packet fees, as well as the cost of the Workshops themselves, manual, extra materials like teaching kit, tools, gifts, etc.  This event is nonrefundable.  The only other fees you may encounter are if you need an extension.  You will also have a list of books to work through, purchased by you separtely in whatever form you prefer (e-book, audiobook, or paper).  Otherwise everything you need to get certified is included in this one workshop enrollment time fee.  Enrollment in this workshop gets you into Labor Doula (CLD), Postpartum Doula (CPD) and Lactation Support and Educator (CLSE) certification programs.  There are a number of assignments to complete in order to gain your credentials.  This workshop is one of those assignments.  For the complete list of assignments for our credentialing programs, you can go here:  https://www.maternitywise.com/certification-programs
